UP to Uttarakhand likely to see worsening weather
Several districts of Uttar Pradesh have been warned of heavy rain on September 11. Rain is likely in Agra, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Baghpat, Bahraich, Ballia, Banda, Barabanki, Bareilly, Bhadohi, Bijnor, Bulandshahr, Chandauli, Chitrakoot, Etawah, Fatehpur, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Hamirpur, Hardoi, Jhansi, Kanpur, Kushinagar, Lakhimpur Kheri, Lucknow, Mainpuri, Mathura, Meerut, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Noida, Prayagraj, Shahjahanpur, Varanasi and Sultanpur, among other places.
Strong winds are also expected, with speeds reaching around 70 kilometres per hour in some areas. Lucknow is likely to record a maximum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius and a minimum of around 27 degrees Celsius.
Uttarakhand weather forecast
Uttarakhand may experience rain accompanied by stronger winds. Dehradun, Haridwar, Haldwani, Nainital, Chamoli, Champawat, Rudraprayag, Kedarnath, Badrinath and Sonprayag, among several other areas, are under a warning for खराब weather conditions. Wind speeds may reach around 75 kilometres per hour.
In hilly areas, rainfall can increase the risk of landslides and debris reaching roads. Travellers have been advised to follow warnings issued by the local administration and the weather department.
Delhi may see rain with winds of 40-50 kmph
The national capital is also likely to receive rain on Friday. Rain may occur in Jafarpur, Mungeshpur, Najafgarh, Palam, Narela, Safdarjung, Ridge, Pitampura, Pragati Maidan, Pusa, Qutub Minar and Rajghat, among several other areas.
Winds are expected to blow at speeds of 40 to 50 kilometres per hour. Delhi may record a maximum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of around 26 degrees Celsius.
However, the IMD sub-divisional update does not show any heavy rainfall warning for the Delhi-Haryana-Chandigarh region for September 11. A heavy rainfall alert is shown for September 14-16.
Rain and storms likely in Bihar
Several districts of Bihar may experience rain accompanied by thunderstorms on September 11. Weather conditions are expected to remain unsettled in Ara, Araria, Aurangabad, Banka, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Buxar, Chhapra, Darbhanga, Gaya, Hajipur, Jamui, Katihar, Khagaria, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Purnia, Samastipur, Sasaram, Sitamarhi and Supaul, among several other places.

Heavy rain likely in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan
Several parts of Madhya Pradesh may receive heavy rainfall on September 11. Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Chhindwara, Betul, Khandwa, Khargone, Dhar, Damoh, Katni and the Sagar region, among several other areas, may be affected.
Wind speeds may reach up to 65 kilometres per hour in some areas. Bhopal is likely to record a maximum temperature of around 31 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius.
Large parts of Rajasthan are also expected to be affected by rain. Rain is forecast in Jaipur, Ajmer, Alwar, Bharatpur, Kota, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar, Sikar, Chittorgarh and Sawai Madhopur, among several other areas.
Himachal Pradesh may see rain and storms, Manali temperature around 15 degrees
Weather conditions may remain खराब in Himachal Pradesh as well. Rain and storm warnings have been issued for Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala, Chamba, Kullu, Mandi, Kangra, Bilaspur, Sirmaur and Spiti Valley, among several other areas.
According to the weather department, winds may reach speeds of 55 to 60 kilometres per hour at some places. Manali is expected to record a daytime temperature of around 15 degrees Celsius and a nighttime temperature of 7 degrees Celsius.
Rain activity to continue in Maharashtra and Gujarat
Several parts of Maharashtra may receive rain, including Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Amravati, Akola, Nanded, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Ratnagiri and Chandrapur.
Mumbai is likely to record a maximum temperature of 31 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of around 27 degrees Celsius. Winds may reach speeds of 35 to 40 kilometres per hour in some areas.
In Gujarat, a rain alert covers Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Kutch, Valsad, Narmada, Panchmahal and surrounding areas. The maximum temperature is expected to remain around 31 degrees Celsius and the minimum around 24 degrees Celsius.
Rain expected across eastern and northeastern India
Rain may continue across several parts of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and eastern India. Rain activity is also likely to remain in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram and Sikkim.
For Odisha, the weather department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at some places from September 9 to 11. The situation has been attributed to the influence of a low-pressure area forming over the north Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas.
Several parts of South India may also receive rain
Several areas of Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are likely to receive rain. Strong winds may occur at some places in Telangana, while thunderstorms accompanied by rain may develop in Andhra Pradesh and adjoining areas.
Rainfall intensity will not be uniform across South India, making local district-level forecasts more useful for residents planning travel or outdoor activities on September 11.
